Qur'an Classes

I strongly recommend this centre to all parents. I took my son to a masjid for a few months so he could learn Qur'an, but the progress was limited. Since he has been going to this centre, he has learned a lot in a very short time. The staff are kind and understanding.

We teach meaning alongside recitation so the connection endures.

Personalised Support

We meet your child at their level and build from there.

Regular Feedback

Peer Learning

Children learn from each other in small, supportive groups.

More Than Recitation — A Lifelong Connection

Our aim is for students to read the Qur'an correctly with the highest level of tajweed, and to understand what they are reading, hearing and saying. We combine accurate recitation with understanding and engagement, so children build a relationship with the Qur'an that lasts — not one that stops when GCSEs begin. Our Qur'an programme complements our Arabic Language classes and GCSE Arabic preparation — see our Arabic Language and GCSE Arabic pages to explore the full pathway.

Mustafa, Parent

I am extremely impressed with ETC. They have maintained online classes that my daughter engages in very well. I was already very impressed with the progress she has made over a short space of time. Staff are professional yet friendly and approachable. There is structure and the feedback about my daughter's progress is very helpful.

Nouran, Parent

I have been attending Qur'an lessons for the past year and have seen my recitation improve. The teacher is great at teaching and implementing techniques when it comes to makharij. The teachers are dedicated and always present with a smile. My children also attend online Qur'an lessons.

Your Questions, Answered

Does my child need prior Qur'an knowledge?
No. We teach from the very beginning, starting with Arabic letters and Qaida. Your child is assessed and placed at the right starting point.
How do you assess the right starting level?
We assess your child's current recitation and reading ability during a free consultation and recommend the level that best matches their needs.
Which ages do you teach?
We teach children across a range of ages. Contact us to confirm the current age groups for Qur'an classes.
Are classes at the centre, online or both?
Please contact us to confirm current in-centre and online availability for Qur'an classes.
How large are the groups?
We teach in deliberately small groups so every child receives focused attention, benefits from peer learning, and feels comfortable participating.
What is the difference between Qur'an classes and Arabic Language classes?
Qur'an classes focus on correct recitation, tajweed and understanding the Qur'an specifically. Arabic Language classes teach reading, writing, speaking and listening as a living language. The two complement each other and many students take both.
Do you teach memorisation (hifz)?
We support students who are ready for memorisation alongside correct recitation and tajweed. Speak to us about your child's goals.
How does the teaching here differ from a traditional madrassa?
We combine correct recitation with understanding and engagement in deliberately small groups, so learning is more likely to endure. We do not criticise other providers — we focus on what makes our approach effective for the children we teach.

Let's help your child build a lasting connection with the Qur'an.
